Bob’s BBQ Bite Brownies | Bland brownies are a bore.  Count on Bob for some bite!  A splash of sauce lends tangy intrigue and a bite of sweet heat!

 Ingredients:

1 cup Calders butter, melted (Michigan-made, from Healthy Habitz)
2 cups Michigan sugar
1 ¼ cups cocoa (Equal Exchange Organic Baking Cocoa at Healthy Habitz is the best, most complex, amazing cocoa I have ever tasted!)
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1/3 cup MILD Uncle Bob’s Smoky Mountain Premium All-Purpose (as in “brownies”) Sauce or ¼ cup HOT Uncle Bob’s Sauce
1 ½ cups Nightingale Flour
2 cups chocolate chips

Directions:

Combine melted butter and sugar.  Heat mixture until hot but not bubbling.  Stir thoroughly.  Stir in cocoa, salt, baking powder, and vanilla.  Add eggs; beat until smooth.  Stir in Uncle Bob’s Sauce.  Stir in flour and chips, beating until well combined.  Bake in greased 9x13” pan at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes until toothpick in center barely comes out clean.  Remove from oven, wait 5 minutes, and loosen edges from pan with a knife.
